Despicable act: windscreen of disability charity minibus broken in west Belfast

The windscreen of a minibus belonging to a support organisation for children with disabilities in west Belfast has been broken.

The incident happened at the ‘Kids Together’ facility on the Stewartstown Road last night just before 8pm.

This leaves the mini bus unusable for a few days while it is repaired.

“This will cause an enormous inconvenience to the staff and to the young people with complex disabilities that avail of this service,” said a police spokesperson.

Police say this was a ‘despicable act’ and they are reviewing CCTV footage.

“This is an attack on a vital community service and will hinder the great work that staff at ‘Kids Together’ are doing for YOUR community.

“If you are involved in this or have any information that may help please contact us on 101 quoting serial 421 of 13/05/19,” added the spokesperson.
