A Volkswagen Passat which was reportedly being driven dangerously in the Ballynure, Doagh and Ballyrobert areas and on the A8, failed to stop for police last night.
The car was being driven on the Ballybracken Road, Ballynure, along the Larne Road, into Ballynure and onto the A8 towards Corrs Corner, as well as on the Doagh Road towards Ballyrobert village and the Longshot towards the A57 Templepatrick Road.
The police pursuit occurred last night between 11:45pm on Saturday (September 14) and 00:15am on Sunday (15th September).
Police in Larne are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage with regards to this case of alleged dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
“Keeping people safe is what we as police officers are paid to do. Policing with the community is how we do it. I am seeking witnesses to the manner of driving of a Volkswagen Passat last night between the area of Ballybracken Road, Ballynure along Larne Road, Ballynure onto the A8 towards Corrs Corner, Doagh Road towards Ballyrobert village and Longshot towards the A57 Templepatrick Road.
“Were you travelling on any of these roads at that time? Did you see this car? Did you see it being pursued by police? Did you witness the manner of the driving of the Passat? Do you have dash cam footage of this incident? If any of the above questions is yes, I am keen to speak to you.
