Fake social media profiles linked to the Greenvale Hotel tragedy in Cookstown have been set up.
Now police say they are actively looking to establish who is behind them with a view to arrest and prosecution.
The appearance of the profiles has caused outrage with many people branding the stunt ‘sick’, ‘disrespectful’ and ‘beyond words.’
Yesterday (Friday) thousands lined the streets to pay respects to the three teenagers, Morgan Barnard, Lauren Bullock and Connor Currie who died in the St Patrick’s night tragedy.
And at last night’s Linfield v Dungannon Swifts’ game, a minute’s silence was observed prior to kick-off.

Police say if anyone happens to come across fake profiles to NEVER share or highlight them.
They are asking people to click the ‘report’ link on the site or app of the company that they appear on or send a direct message to police.
“The individuals behind such disgusting behaviour feed on publicity. Don’t feed such trolls,” added a spokesperson.
