Bin collections in Mid and East Antrim could be affected as a result of a notified 7-day strike by Unite the Union.
The strike action runs until Sunday (27 March).
The council says it anticipates significant disruption to services.
Collections in Antrim and Newtownabbey are so far unaffected.
Mid and East Antrim Council says it is working hard to minimise the impact. However, bin collections, street cleansing, recycling centres and leisure centres will be affected.
The council will prioritise black bin collections, assisted lifts and larger capacity collections during the week.
From 21 – 25 March inclusive if your bin is not collected before the end of the day it’s due to be lifted (4.30pm) please bring it in and present it on the next collection day.
Mop up collections will not take place during the industrial action and will commence 28 March at the earliest.
