Doagh barbershop near Ballyclare in Co Antrim is closed for a deep clean after a relative of a customer tested positive for COVID-19.
The shop is taking all precautionary measures and all appointments are cancelled over the next 48 hours.
“Someone was in yesterday and somebody in their household has tested positive for Corona. Due to being so close contact, the shop will be closed for the next couple of days for a deep clean and also while I get tested myself. Fingers crossed with all the PPE in place in the shop, it should be ok. But just to be safe everyone that has an appointment in the next 48hrs will be cancelled. I will message everyone who was in after this client. Sorry for any inconvenience caused, but I don’t want to put any of my clients at risk,” a statement on social media read.
It’s the latest in a long line of establishments to undergo a deep clean after being affected by the coronavirus. The Hill Tavern in Carnmoney, The Bellevue Arms and Whiteabbey Royal British Legion, also in the Newtownabbey area had to close for deep cleans.
