Another day, another suspected drink driver – this time in Londonderry.

Thankfully no one was injured, however police say this was another serious collision, due to alleged drink driving in Derry in less than a week.
“It’s shocking and an absolute disgrace,” said a police spokesperson.
And they say if you suspect someone is driving under the influence of drink or drugs and aren’t sure about calling police, just recall this image.
“It could have been much worse,” added the spokesperson.
The police have also said they had a call from another concerned member of the public regarding a driver she believed was under the influence.
“Within minutes, police had the vehicle stopped and the driver was breathalised and tested for the presence of drugs. He passed both tests but it shows the importance of reporting drink drivers as soon as you see them. The sooner you tell us, the sooner we can be there.
“Call 101 for non-emergencies and 999 for emergencies,” added the spokesperson.
