Emergency services were called to Carnlough just after 1.30pm this afternoon (Wednesday) after reports of a swimmer getting into difficulty.
The PSNI, RNLI, HM Coastguard, Ambulance and the NI Air Ambulance have been dealing with the incident.
It is understood that a woman may have got into difficulties while swimming.
