The COVID-19 variant and Christmas lockdown measures are on the agenda tonight (Sunday) as the NI Executive meets for talks. Deputy First Minister Michelle O’Neill announced on Twitter that an executive meeting would take place at 9pm.
It follows further restrictions around the UK, including moving London from Tier 3 to Tier 4.
Thirteen further deaths and 505 cases were recorded on Sunday in Northern Ireland. On Saturday, 640 new cases emerged and 17 deaths were announced.
And the UK-France Eurotunnel border is closing at 11pm tonight (Sunday) due to the new strain.
It will remain closed for at least 48 hours.

The UK has reported a record daily rise in confirmed coronavirus cases, with another 35,928 infections.
