Netflix has signed a deal to adapt C.S Lewis’s classic children’s novels.
It marks the first time that rights to all seven Narnia books, including The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, have been held by the same company. Multiple television and film projects are planned and fans are eagerly awaiting what Netflix has to offer.

It’s not the first time the books have been adapted. The BBC version was broadcast in the late 1980s and production staff had to develop an animatronic Aslan, due to lack of technological advancements.
Disney has previously created movies from three of the Narnia books – The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader. It’s anticipated that the Netflix version will be much more advanced in terms of special effects.
The Narnia books have sold more than 100 million copies and been translated in almost 50 languages worldwide.
