A firearm has been recovered by detectives from the Police Service’s Paramilitary Crime Task Force following a search carried out in the Newtownabbey area earlier this week.
Detective Inspector Maguire said: “Following the search of a vehicle in the Antrim Road area, a firearm was recovered.
“Our enquiries remain ongoing, and I would encourage anyone with any information which might assist us to contact police on the 101 number.
