Youths threw stones and shone laser pens at firefighters during a call out to a fire in Ballymena.
The incident happened in Dunclug Park on Wednesday night – police have just released details of the incident.
Police say this could have had serious consequences for anyone requiring the services of the NIFRS.
“We’re now investigating the incident. If you’re aware of any info that could assist, give us a call on 101 (ref 1304 27.2.19).
“The dangers of this behaviour are obvious, and could’ve had life threatening consequences for anyone genuinely in need of NIFRS,” said a police spokesperson.
