There are 1217 new cases of COVID-19 in Northern Ireland.
Sadly, two deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours and two further deaths outside this period.
And schools will close for two weeks as part of the measures to curb the rise in COVID-19 cases.
The half term holiday break will be extended from 19 to 30 October with schools reopening on Monday 2 November.
First Minister Arlene Foster said the rise in numbers were ‘deeply troubling.’
