The fox which was saved from the North Down hunt is ‘getting better bit by bit.’
That’s according to the Hunt Saboteurs NI whose members rescued the animal last Saturday.
A poignant photograph of a hunt saboteur carrying the injured fox from the hunt last week prompted calls for a ban.
The photograph which was shared widely, led to thousands of comments on social media from people congratulating the saboteurs on the valuable work they carry out, and condemning the people involved in hunting.
One week on and the group says it has had messages from concerned people, asking after the fox they managed to save ‘from a guaranteed death.’
“He is getting better bit by bit. He does have a way to go but all reports from his carer would suggest he will be released in the near future,” said a hunt spokesperson.
