A man claiming to work for the NHS injected a 92-year-old woman with a fake COVID-19 vaccine in South-West London, police have said.
A hunt is on for the man who charged the elderly lady £160 in Surbiton.
Det Insp Kevin Ives described it as a ‘disgusting and totally unacceptable assault’ on the elderly woman.
Police said the man poses a danger to people and they are appealing for the help of the public in detaining him.
The NHS had warned people that no-one should be turning up at homes offering a COVID-19 vaccine in return for payment, following scam text messages.
