Game of Thrones is the most disappointing TV series finale, according to research.
We all love binge-watching our favourite shows, especially during lockdown.
TV particularly spoils us with a diversity of choices, and we see ourselves filling our days with hours in front of our screen. Interested in just how much we love (and sometimes loathe) our favourite TV series, OnBuy Electronics Team surveyed 1,835 fans to find what TV series’ endings have most disappointed them.

The variety of dramatic twists made people utterly addicted to Game of Thrones, but the season finale subverted all expectations causing an explosion of resentment towards the show’s bitter ending.
OnBuy.com found that 87% of the respondents were frustrated with the series ending.
How I Met Your Mother comes in second (although far from Game of Thrones) with 54%.
After 9 seasons, everyone was excited to see Ted Mosby finally meeting the mother of his children. But the end wasn’t just as legendary. For the fans, Ted going back again to the same old failed relationship from his 20s was frustrating.
Surprisingly, Sherlock received 42% of the votes – making it to third place. But how did a
smart and vibrant series let so many fans down? Apparently, the final didn’t seem to connect with the previous seasons and ended up a disappointing plot-twist.
The Vampire Diaries and How To Get Away With Murder were the least disappointing series’ endings with 11% each. Although fans didn’t see the happy ending that they were expecting for their favourite characters, the flaws and frustrating moments weren’t as disappointing and unforgivable as the previous TV shows.
To achieve the results, OnBuy.com surveyed 1,835 respondents. Respondents had to pick one option – multiple-choice was included.
