Three masked and armed men stole a sum of money from a man who was walking along Duncairn Avenue in north Belfast during the early hours of yesterday (Saturday 11 July).
The man was on Duncairn Avenue, at the corner of Antrim Road, when he was approached by three men, all of whom had masks on their faces.
One of the men produced a knife while a second man had a hammer.
They demanded money from the man and threatened him. The men then fled with a sum of money.
Police are appealing for information following the robbery which happened just after midnight.
Detective Sergeant Duffield said while the man was not physically injured, he was left badly shaken by his ordeal.
“I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area and saw what happened, or anyone who has information which could assist our investigation, to get in touch with detectives at Musgrave on 101 and quote reference number 1425 of 11/07/20,” he added.
