Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a 14-year-old girl at the Inver River in Larne last night.
She has been named locally as Gracie Gordon.
Gracie was pulled from the water after a rescue mission which began after 9pm last night.
Eyewitnesses last night reported activity in the area.
Gracie was taken to Antrim Area Hospital but passed away.
“A post mortem is due to take place and enquiries are continuing. “There are no further details at this stage,” said a police spokesperson.
