Groups of up to six people not from the same household can meet indoors in Northern Ireland from Tuesday.
The First and Deputy First Ministers made the announcement during the daily briefing. However, people will still be required to put into practice social distancing when meeting up inside.
Northern Ireland is the first part of the UK to allow people to meet up indoors.
In the Republic of Ireland, groups of six are already allowed to meet indoors.
Hotels, bars, restaurants and cafes will be permitted to reopen from 3 July, while hairdressers, barbers and salons can reopen from 6 July.
These measures are part of the ease away from lockdown.
