Jet2 has suspended all flights to Spain and Croatia for the remainder of this summer.
This affects holidaymakers who had planned to travel to Alicante, Malaga and Barcelona, Dubrovnik and Split up until the end of October.
There had been uncertainty surrounding travel plans since the COVID-19 outbreak.
A spokesperson for Jet2 said: “Because of the ongoing uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the current UK government advice, we have taken the difficult decision to suspend flights and holidays to Mainland Spain (affecting Alicante, Malaga and Barcelona) for the rest of Summer 20.
“We are obviously very disappointed to be making this announcement, as we know how much our customers look forward to their well-deserved holidays in these fantastic destinations.
“Where customers are affected by any programme changes, we have been repeatedly recognised for how we have been looking after them, offering the option to rebook with no admin fee, a Refund Credit Note or a full cash refund, and we are contacting customers to discuss these options.”
The spokesperson added that bookings for next summer were ‘strong.’
