The home of a woman in her 90s was ransacked, with cash, medication and a number of items of jewellery reported to have been taken.
The incident happened at a house at Upper Road in Greenisland.
Detective Constable Gardiner said a report was received at approximately 6.30pm yesterday (Friday 9 July) that entry had been gained to the home of lady aged in her 90s.
“An investigation has been launched, and police are appealing for information and witnesses. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage of the area from between 1pm and 3pm yesterday (Friday) afternoon.
