Husky dies and another seriously ill after being poisoned in Dungannon

A dog has died and another is seriously ill after they were poisoned in Dungannon.

Police are investigating what they believe was a malicious attack on the Tyrone Husky Rescue Centre.


Junior was poisoned and died soon after despite vets’ best efforts to save him. Another dog Tuatha is still recovering after being poisoned around two weeks ago and is currently receiving veterinary care.

Animal lovers have expressed their disgust and shock on social media.

Please if anyone has any information on these attacks , please come forward ???? look at his happy face,everyone loved Junior .. it takes a certain kind of Evil to poison dogs ?? #JusticeforJunior

“We want to catch whoever this was. If you have any info on who was involved please call 101. The reference number is 1648 of 18/02/20,” said a police spokesperson.
