Police are investigating Instagram pages which have been created to deliberately spread nasty comments about young people in the Fermanagh area.
And the PSNI is asking the creator to delete the pages.
In light of this incident, police have issued advice in a bid to combat bullying.
“If you are responsible for any of these pages, close them down before anyone else is hurt.
“We all deserve to be able to use the internet to learn, explore and connect with each other. The internet can be a great place but it is important to remember there are people out there who may wish to abuse, exploit, intimidate or bully you online – if this happens to you, tell someone immediately, either your parents, your teacher or a friend but it is important to talk to someone. Let someone know. Don’t suffer in silence,” said a police spokesperson.
Police say there are options if you are a victim of bullying – you can tell your parents, a relative, a teacher, a friend or anyone you trust, or contact Childline on 0800 1111 and remember to block all communication from the bully.
Police say if you are the victim of any type of crime to contact 101 or get in touch with Childline.
