Each year, the cybersecurity firm SplashData evaluates millions of leaked passwords to determine which are the most easily hacked.
It has revealed the most hacked passwords of this year, and the main offender is ‘123456’ followed by ‘password’ – that’s for the fifth year running.
Despite the repeated warnings, millions of digital users are still using weak passwords to protect their devices.
Around ten per cent of people have used at least one of the 25 worst passwords in the past year.
