Actor David Schwimmer, famous for his part as Ross in the 90s TV series Friends, has responded to claims on social media that a beer thief in Blackpool is a lookalike.

Blackpool police had earlier issued an appeal on Facebook to help identify a man holding a tray of beer. Social media users claimed he looked like ‘Ross from Friends.’
The actor has replied by posting a video of himself pretending to steal beers from a shop in New York to his Twitter account.
In his Twitter post, Mr Schwimmer wrote: “Officers, I swear it wasn’t me. As you can see, I was in New York.
“To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation.”
