Flights to the Canary Islands have been cancelled, including this morning’s departure from Belfast International Airport to Fuerteventura.
All Jet2 flights to mainland Spain and the Canary Islands have been cancelled with immediate effect, the airline has announced. It operates flights from nine UK airports including Belfast International.

On Friday Spain declared a national emergency, closings bars, shops and restaurants due to the spread of coronavirus Covid-19.
“We are contacting our customers who are currently in these destinations, and who are due to travel, to advise them of their options, so we urge customers not to call us,” the company said in a statement.
Flight tracking website Flight Radar 24 showed aircraft turning around mid-air to return to airports.
The UK meanwhile has 798 confirmed cases and a newborn baby is believed to be UK’s youngest patient.
The government is also planning to introduce emergency laws to ban mass gatherings.
