The leader of Britain First, Paul Golding has been arrested by police in Belfast in relation to the distribution of anti-immigration leaflets in Ballymena.
He’s due to appear in court on November 15.
The charges are linked to literature advertising a Britain First anti-immigration protest planned for Ballymena this Saturday.
It comes amid tensions over an influx of Romanian migrants to Ballymena.
Police have issued a statement saying: “A 36 year old man was arrested by police last night in the east Belfast area in connection with public order offences in Ballymena on 20 October. He remains in police custody.”
