Detectives have been carrying out enquiries in the Kells and Ballymena areas as part of their investigation into the murder of Glenwherry man David Murphy.
Mr Murphy was gunned down at his farmhouse at Church Road last month. He is believed to have been shot in the back by a gunman through the window of his kitchen. His body was discovered by a neighbour.
Today, police have been handing out leaflets, putting up posters and speaking to local people in the hope of generating fresh leads.
“We are working extremely hard to pinpoint a motive for this senseless murder and to retrace David’s steps in the days leading up to the killing.
“We hope that today’s investigative operation will provide fresh leads and new information that will lead us to David’s killers,” said Detective Chief Inspector Geoff Boyce.
Detectives meanwhile, want to trace Mr Murphy’s movements prior to his killing and have appealed for anyone in the area of Church Road with dash cams on their vehicles or who may have noticed anything out of the ordinary to come forward.
