Retail workers turned up at shops this morning to find queues of people outside for the re-opening following a period of lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
People began queuing at a number of stories including Primark in Belfast and at TK Maxx in Newtownabbey before the doors opened.
“It’s absolute madness,” said one retail worker. “When I turned up to work morning there were people waiting to get in. And they’d been there since 7am or before.”
Retailers were celebrating the re-opening too….
