Make a date – it’s time for the Tatler awards

This year’s Ulster Tatler awards will take place at St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast in September.

Now in its 12th year, the 2019 awards will celebrate the best that Northern Ireland has to offer in hospitality, beauty and business.

The magazine’s readers are being asked to vote in various categories honouring the local people and companies that have excelled in the last year.

The awards ceremony will be hosted by personality Pamela Ballantine and will showcase two new categories, including Coffee House of the Year.

The event will take place on Thursday September 12 ,with key awards including Celebrity of the Year and Sports Person of the Year, as well as the highly-anticipated Lifetime Achievement Award which has recognised some of the province’s best-loved personalities over the years, such as Dame Mary Peters OBE, Brian Friel, Sir James Galway, Gloria Hunniford, Barry McGuigan, Marie Jones and Hollywood actor Ciaran Hinds.

Insanity Tan is the new title sponsor for the 2019 ceremony.

Gerry McBride, Managing Director of Insanity Tan said the company is delighted to be Title Sponsor.

“It’s an honour to be part of such a highly-respected night that recognises the fantastic businesses and people we have here in Northern Ireland,” he added.

Ulster Tatler editor Chris Sherry said this year, they are excited to announce two new categories – Arts Person Of The Year and Beauty Salon as well as Spa of the Year, separating it from the previously conjoined Beauty Salon/Spa of the Year award.

“As always, this is going to be a very special night as we recognise the great successes and talented people of Northern Ireland,” Chris added.

Pamela Ballantine said it’s always an enjoyable night.

“I do hope that as many people as possible get voting for all the exceptionally talented people in Northern Ireland who make the awards the great event they have been over the past eleven years,” Pamela continued.

The public can vote by visiting www.ulstertatler.com where all the categories are listed, or by picking up the latest edition of Ulster Tatler magazine and filling in the voting form inside.

Voters have a further incentive to cast their ballots as they will be entered in to a draw to be in for a chance of winning a VIP trip for two to the awards ceremony including an overnight stay at the Hilton Hotel Belfast.

Votes must be received by midnight on Sunday June 23.
