A 27-year-old man has been arrested and two vehicles seized by police from a property in Ballyclare in relation to suspected fraud.
A company director reported to police that an employee is alleged to have fraudulently sent money from the business to their personal account.
The man was arrested on suspicion of fraud by abuse of position by detectives from Lisburn CID on Wednesday afternoon (December 22).
Detective Sergeant Cargin is asking all businesses to remain vigilant if they believe that fraudulent activity is taking place at this time.
“If you believe that you or your business may be a victim of this type of offence, please contact police on 101 or alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime,” he said.
