A 39-year-old man has been arrested and a quantity of class A drugs seized at Belfast Harbour this morning (Wednesday).
The man was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences by detectives from the Organised Crime Branch working with Belfast Harbour Police and Merseyside Police.
Detective Sergeant Patrick Conlan said detectives stopped the man at Belfast Harbour around 7.30am this morning, he was searched and a quantity of suspected class A drugs were located.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession and possession with intent to supply and he remains in custody at this time.
