A 28-year-old man is due in court this morning on charges arising out of a hijacking in Ballyclare on Saturday evening.
He has been charged with a number of offences, including hijacking, aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to another vehicle, common assault, using a motor vehicle without insurance and failing to stop at, remain at and report an accident where damage was caused.
He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrate’s Court via videolink on Monday (February 7).
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
