A man in his 40s was found unconscious with serious head injuries in Newry this morning.
Two men, aged 34 and 29, and a 33-year-old woman have been arrested following the incident. All three are currently in police custody.
Detectives are appealing for information following the report of the assault. It’s believed it happened at around 2:25am at a car park at the junction of the New Street and Sugar House quay junction. The man was taken to hospital.
Detective Sergeant Bell said enquiries are continuing to establish how this man sustained the injuries, and he said police are appealing to anyone with any information to contact detectives in Newry on 101, quoting reference number 165 3/6/19.
