Man in 20s treated in hospital following Antrim fire

A man in his 20s has been treated in hospital following a fire at a property in Antrim.

Police received a report that a blaze had broken out in Donore Crescent at 7.30am on Friday.


Officers and fire crews attended the scene – one from Antrim and one from Ballymena.

Detective Sergeant Lyttle said officers attended the scene along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.

“A man in his 20s was taken to hospital for treatment by the NI Ambulance Service.

“Enquiries are continuing and there are no further details at this time,” he said.

It’s understood the fire started accidentally.
