A man in his 80s has died following a four vehicle collision on the Drum Road in Cookstown on Thursday (27 August).
The man who died was from the Cookstown area.
The incident happened at around 5:10pm.
A black Mini, a Volvo lorry, a Mercedes Goods vehicle and a Renault Kangoo were involved in the collision. The driver of the Mini was treated at the scene but sadly passed away as a result of his injuries.
Inspector Irvine said the Drum Road has now reopened following the incident.
“Our enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dash-cam footage available, to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1406 27/08/20,” he added.
