Police in Cookstown have potentially saved the life of a man in distress who was standing near a river.
They responded to a call of a man standing next to a fast flowing river on the outskirts of the town.
Police say a crew was dealing with another incident but this took priority.
PSNI Air Support was scrambled and the team was mid flight when, with the assistance of some local people fishing, they found the man.
He was given immediate medical attention.
