A man was reportedly seen near a children’s play park in Larne running around brandishing a potential offensive weapon.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the apparent incident which is believed to have occurred in Seacourt around 11am.
Police have since arrested a man on suspicion of numerous offences.
They are keen to speak to any witnesses who saw the incident or anyone who may have have CCTV or dash cam footage.
