A man who was waiting at a bus stop in north Belfast has been viciously attacked by a gang of youths.
He sustained head and leg injuries and his keys and watch were stolen during the attack, which police say was ‘unprovoked’.
The incident happened at Carlisle Circus/Antrim Road at around 6pm this evening (Saturday).
The man was waiting at the bus stop when he was approached by the group of 12-15 young people, (male and female), who viciously assaulted him, causing injuries to his head and leg.
The group made off towards the New Lodge.
“Did you see anything? Have you heard anything? This was an unprovoked attack on a person simply waiting on a bus, any help from the community would be greatly appreciated. Get in touch with us via 101 quoting serial 1392 of 7th December,” said a police spokesperson.
