A delivery driver in his 30s was approached by an man with knife who demanded his car keys in an incident in north Belfast.
The attempted armed robbery happened in the Ainsworth Drive area in the early hours of Tuesday (9 June).
Detective Sergeant O’Flaherty said just before 3am, the delivery driver was approached by an unknown man.
“The victim ran off and upon returning to his car a short while later witnessed the unknown man rummaging through his vehicle.
“It is not believed that anything has been taken.”
Police are asking for witnesses to come forward.
