A man had his wallet stolen after being forced to hand it over by two men, one of whom was armed with a knife in south Belfast.
It happened in Fitzroy Avenue last night (Tuesday October 20).
The man was sitting in his vehicle around 9pm when two men approached and gestured for him to lower his window.
When he did so, one of the men demanded he hand over his wallet. The suspect produced a knife approximately 10 inches long and pointed it towards the victim’s neck.
The wallet contained bank cards and a driving licence. Thankfully no cash or other valuables were taken.
Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson added: “The men are described as being in their late teens, of slim build, wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered. Both made off in the direction of Queen’s University.
“Our enquiries are continuing and we are appealing for anyone with information or who may have witnesses any suspicious activity in the area to contact detectives on 101 quoting 1891 19/10/21.”
