A masked man armed with a knife made off with a sum of cash in a robbery at a shop on the Cavehill Road in north Belfast on Friday evening (October 9).
It happened at around 10:45pm.
Police say a man with his hood up and a mask over his face, entered the premises armed with a knife and demanded staff hand over money.
He made off from the shop with a sum of cash.
Detective Sergeant Natalie Moore said this was a distressing experience for the staff member who was in their place of work, doing their job and where they should rightly feel safe.
“I want to appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have observed a man acting suspiciously in this area.
“I would also appeal to anyone who has information which could help us identify the suspect to get in touch with us on 101, and quote reference number 2083 of 09/10/20 or submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/
