A passenger was dragged from a car in Craigavon by two masked men, one of whom smashed the window with a bat and poured petrol inside.
Police are appealing for information following the hijacking at Brownlow Road yesterday evening (Friday 26 March).
Detective Sergeant Dave Stewart said that the driver and passenger were travelling along Brownlow Road in a Volkswagen Passat, when two men wearing balaclavas attacked the car.
“One man smashed the windscreen of the vehicle with a bat, and then smashed the driver’s side window.
“The passenger was dragged from the car and a substance that is believed to be petrol was then thrown inside.
“The car was found burnt out a short time later on the Tullygally Road,” he said.
