The funeral of Lyra McKee who was shot dead in Derry/Londonderry on Thursday night will take place in St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast on Wednesday (April 24) at 1pm.
She will be buried in Carnmoney Cemetery.
Mourners are asked to wear Harry Potter clothes, in honour of Lyra’s love of the JK Rowling books. Lyra’s partner Sara Canning said her funeral will be a ‘celebration of her life.’
An 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the murder. They remain in police custody.
Tributes have poured in for the 29-year-old, including one from former US President Bill Clinton.
