A murder investigation has been launched after a 28-year-old man died following a stabbing incident in Downpatrick this morning (Monday, 3 January).
The man was stabbed in the Church Street area of the town at around 11am.
Detective Chief Inspector, John Caldwell said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
