A new £2.7 million state of the art Volvo showroom has opened at Boucher Way in Belfast, representing a rebrand for the business.
The Agnew Belfast brand will replace SMW in the futuristic new space. The two brands have been synonymous with Volvo in Northern Ireland since the Agnew Group acquired Stanley Motor Works. Since then there has been a significant investment in the Volvo brand locally, culminating in this move to a new showroom.
Managing Director, Sydney Pentland, who has over 21 years’ experience within the Agnew Group, said they wanted to ensure that Northern Ireland Volvo clients could enjoy the same retail experience similar to those customers in the rest of the UK.
He says this Swedish inspired concept focuses on space and design, aimed at making customers feel relaxed and at ease.
“Customers can take advantage of the Swedish ‘Fika’ branded coffee dock and customer facilities in their ‘living room’ waiting area. They can also browse each model within the showroom and configure their perfect car with wireless connectivity at each model displayed, or within the configuration lounge,” he explained.
‘While you wait’ servicing is also available.
Mr Pentland says the customer experience is vital.
“We value our customers and we consistently aim to be responsive to their needs. Volvo currently enjoys a 6.7 per cent market share of the premium segment in Northern Ireland. Year on year, Agnew Belfast has significantly improved their local share of Volvo trade in Northern Ireland by over 10%. We know what our clients want and we consistently strive to exceed expectations,” he added.
The state of the art showroom will facilitate the display of seven new cars. And clients will be able to check out the new V60 model from July 5, the Volvo XC60 midsize SUV which has been named World Car of the Year 2018 at the New York Auto Show and the XC40, which was crowned European Car of the Year.
