Primary one to primary three pupils who were due to return to remote learning from 22 March will go back to school.
The executive agreed a proposal from Education Minister Peter Weir to scrap the original plan.
The plan was to revert to online learning for the week prior to the Easter holidays.
The next group of pupils due back are secondary school students in key exam years on March 22.
A review of the coronavirus restrictions will take place on Tuesday 16 March.
