Older woman injured in collision with car in Ballyclare

An older female pedestrian sustained leg injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in The Square in Ballyclare yesterday afternoon (Sunday 15 August).

Police are appealing for witnesses following the one-vehicle road traffic collision.


A police spokesperson said the incident happened just before 1.30pm.

Police and NIAS attended the scene.

The lady was found to have sustained an injury to her leg and she was taken to hospital where she is currently being treated for her injuries.

“Officers at the scene spoke to the driver of a blue Mazda car and our enquiries are continuing to establish what happened.
