Over 40 per cent of over 50s in Northern Ireland have not had a ‘booster’

Over 40 per cent of over 50s in Northern Ireland have not had a COVID-19 ‘booster’.

That’s according to the Department of Health.

It says a ‘booster’ vaccination may be needed to travel abroad.

The EU has introduced a new policy however, under which vaccine certificates are not recognised if your most recent dose was more than 270 days ago.

COVID certification is no longer legally required in pubs and licensed restaurants.

However the NI Executive ‘strongly encourages’ it.
