‘Panic buying’ due to coronavirus fears has resulted in supermarket shelves being emptied of food and other essential household items such as toilet rolls.
Queues on Sunday afternoon in supermarkets were lengthy, with some stretching out the doors. People were seen grabbing toilet rolls and kitchen rolls while others filled their trolleys with pasta and sauces.
The scenes appear to be much the same across the UK.
Schools meanwhile may have to conduct lessons by Google Classroom if they are closed to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
