People aged 50 and over can now book COVID-19 vaccine appointment

People aged 50 or over in Northern Ireland can now book an appointment to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.

Appointments are available at seven regional centres across Northern Ireland.

There is the option of either booking it online or being contacted by the GP.

The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine will be used mainly for first doses.

Health officials in Northern Ireland say they will continue to use this vaccine despite the Republic of Ireland suspending the rollout.
